In 1988 Pastor Ted Lam started TIBC as a Bible Study group on TU campus. In 1989, the meetings were moved to Sequoyah Hills Baptist Church as a mission congregation. The church was organized as a mission of Sequoyah Hills Baptist Church on June 3, 1990, and in 1991 the church was formally chartered as Tulsa International Baptist Church. In 1998, TIBC members purchased 10 acres land. In 2004, under the leadership of Pastor Long, members and friends of TIBC, a building project was started. This new multi-purpose building was dedicated on October 23, 2005. Many lives have been touched and changed by the love of God through the ministries of TIBC. Our interim pastor, Bobby Leonard, and the members of TIBC will continue to build the legacy with God's leading and for His glory.
